DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID-19 PANDEMIC, ALL SERVICES ARE BEING HELD VIA ZOOM.
Council have planned for remote services for the rest of 2020. However, our normal hall is booked and should the situation change, i.e. we feel it is safe to do so, we will return to physical services. This is not possible at present for 2 reasons:
1. Number of members who are shielding
2. Social Distancing means that not enough people could physically attend whilst maintaining Social distancing guidelines.
PLEASE WATCH OUT AS INVITATIONS WILL BE SENT TO MEMBERS EMAIL ACCOUNTS.
PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THE INVITATION WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORISATION. WHICH CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAILING tikvahchadasha@gmail.com or calling 01277-888610
THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDI
Study Session : 3pm – 4.30pm **
Afternoon Service (Minchah) 5pm
Yiskor – 6 pm
Neilah – 6.30pm
Havdalah will follow Neilah ***
Please note: Yom Kippur Service times have been adjusted this year to allow for the fact they are being held remotely. Council felt that it was unreasonable to expect members, particularly those with children to be in front of a screen for long periods of time without a break. This was also considered to be stressful and difficult for the service leader.
Please look out for invitations to the various services which will be emailed to you.
** Study Session, as with all other services will be held remotely. Louis will lead the study service. Please let us know at least 7 days in advance should you wish to attend the study session. Louis will inform members and guests of the topic closer to the time.
*** Havdalah – This year, If you have a young child who wishes to do Havdalah, please let us know as soon as possible. If no one comes forward, Max will once again this year do Havdala.
As with previous years, we will be collecting for the local food bank. Rather than food, please pay £ donations into the Shul account. The food will be delivered. This may change depending on the situation at the time in respect of COVID-19
At present, whilst we expect to hold a Simchat Torah Service remotely. We will be honouring Suzanne (Kallah Bereshit) & Elliot (Chatan Torah)
Clearly having Simchat Torah remotely will be challenging & certainly different!
